This policy explains what personal data RenovateWiser ("we", "us") collects when you visit renovatewiser.com, why, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible
RenovateWiser is published by Benamar Aidouni, based in the Netherlands. Contact: contact@renovatewiser.com.
What we collect
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring page, approximate location (country or region), device and browser type. Collected through analytics tools, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Advertising data: cookie and device identifiers used by advertising partners to show and measure ads. Personalized ads only if you accept advertising cookies.
- Technical data: IP address and request logs processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the site.
- What you send us: if you email us, your address and the content of your message.
We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't sell personal data.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To run and secure the site (legitimate interest).
- To measure how the site is used (consent).
- To show advertising, and personalized advertising (consent).
- To track which partner links lead to a sale or a quote request, so we can be paid commissions (consent where cookies are involved).
- To answer your messages (legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
- Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc.
- Analytics and tag management: Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager), and Microsoft Clarity if enabled.
- Advertising: Google AdSense and its partners, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for ad measurement. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
- Affiliate networks and partners: such as CJ, Impact and retailers we link to, which set their own cookies when you click a partner link.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, they rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Analytics data: up to 14 months. Advertising and affiliate cookies: for the lifetime set by each provider (see our cookie policy). Emails: up to 2 years after our last exchange.
Your choices and rights
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and change your choice on the cookie policy page. Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, or receive a copy. Write to contact@renovatewiser.com.
If you're in the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority. In the Netherlands, that's the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
US residents: we don't sell personal information. Some states treat ad cookies as "sharing." Rejecting advertising cookies in the banner opts you out of that.
Children
This site is for adults planning home projects. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes.
